This colorful artwork is in fact the front of the bus from the artwork titled “SPLATTER” also available in my shop. While composing this part of the art, the large stalagmite-shapes were more and more reminding me of Chinese monumental landscape painting. I further interpreted that vision of the big mountains with little footpaths through it.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
I love to watch and study. I focus on the process and psychology of observation and creation instead of making artwork that deals with current political and social trends. Husband and father of three daughters, I value family and affairs that strengthen my being. I own Studio Holland Fine Art. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Visual Culture in the College of Design at Iowa State University where I teach all levels of painting and drawing since 2005.
